The Centre for Labour Laws Research (CLLR), National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, under Project Nyay Setu, is organising a Panel Discussion-cum-Workshop on the theme “Labour Laws at the Crossroads – Reforming in a Changing Economy” on 30th May 2026 at the Reference Hall. The programme seeks to examine the evolving landscape of labour laws in light of emerging challenges such as the gig economy, automation, platform-based employment, and the expansion of informal labour sectors. Bringing together academicians, legal experts, policymakers, labour law practitioners, judicial officers, researchers, and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs), the event aims to encourage meaningful dialogue on worker-centric reforms and access to justice mechanisms. The workshop will further focus on mediation, labour welfare legislation, legal aid systems, and grassroots legal awareness initiatives, with special emphasis on strengthening the practical capacity of PLVs through interactive and community-oriented engagement under Project Nyay Setu.
