Ramgarh District

Project Nyay Setu, a CSR initiative of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) being implemented in collaboration with the Centre for Labour Law and Research, National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, aims to strengthen access to justice through mediation, legal awareness, and community outreach activities. For the implementation of the project, two districts have been identified, namely Ranchi and Ramgarh.

In Ranchi district, the selected blocks are Kanke, Burmu, Khelari, Ratu, Ormanjhi, and Chanho. Similarly, in Ramgarh district, the identified blocks are Ramgarh, Patratu, Chitarpur, Gola, Mandu, and Dulmi. These twelve blocks have been selected as the primary intervention areas for the project and will be covered through a structured and phased implementation plan.

The field implementation of Project Nyay Setu commenced in Ranchi district, where mediation activities and door-to-door legal awareness campaigns are being undertaken at the block level. Kanke Block was covered on 14 May 2026, followed by Burmu Block on 17 June 2026.
The remaining blocks of Ranchi district, Khelari, Ratu, Ormanjhi, and Chanho, as well as all six identified blocks of Ramgarh district, will be covered in subsequent phases. The project envisages completion of mediation and door-to-door outreach activities across all identified blocks by February 2027, ensuring uniform implementation and community engagement throughout the intervention area.
