Project Nyay Setu is a collaborative initiative of the Centre for Labour Law Research (CLLR), NUSRL Ranchi and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) aimed at enhancing access to justice and legal awareness among rural and marginalized communities. The project seeks to bridge the gap between legal rights and their effective realization by providing legal guidance, awareness programmes, and assistance to individuals facing socio-economic and legal challenges.
The initiative focuses on empowering communities through legal literacy camps, awareness drives, stakeholder consultations, and outreach activities on issues relating to labour rights, social welfare entitlements, land rights, gender justice, access to government schemes, and other areas of public importance. By combining academic expertise with community engagement, Project Nyay Setu strives to create a sustainable framework for legal empowerment and social inclusion.
Through this partnership, CLLR seeks to contribute to the broader objectives of social justice and community development while providing students and researchers with opportunities to engage in field-based legal research and public service. The project reflects the shared commitment of NUSRL Ranchi and CCL towards promoting legal awareness, strengthening access to justice, and fostering inclusive development in rural and underserved regions of Jharkhand.
